I came here with 3 other people to have dim sum. We showed up on a weekday and was pleasantly surprised that no reservation was needed unlike Vancouver. We were recommended by colleagues to have dim sum here. The dim sum doesn't disappoint. We ordered 12 items and every items were fresh and delicious. Prices were all very reasonable. It came to $33 per person including tips and tax. The shumai, shrimp dumplings and rice rolls were my favorite. The decor of the place was very modern and clean. The staff were friendly. They serve dim sum all day to my surprise. Parking is tricky to find in the area. We came here by Uber.

This is the place I visit whenever I think of dim sum and Chinese cuisine. There are many different types of dim sum and it's good to share with your party. My favorite is shrimp dumpling and shiu mai. Other dishes are also good. Employees are kind and explain enough when I asked about unfamiliar menu. Although the place is large and have many tables, there are many people on weekends, so it is better to visit early because there may be waiting during peak times.

I dined at Rol San on Sunday, December 8, 2024 at 10 pm. Where I'm from, there's no decent dim sum restaurants, let alone one that serves until 12-3 am. So after a long day without a proper meal, Rol San being able to serve dim sum at late hours surely hit the spot. I ordered a couple of staple dim sum plates that I usually order when I go to a dim sum place such as the steam shrimp dumpling (har gow), pork and shrimp dimpling (shiu mai), and shrimp rice rolls. The size of the har gow was almost twice the size I usually get in the U.S. and had a lot of shrimp. The shiu mai tasted well-seasoned and fresh. The shrimp rice rolls tasted pretty standard and comparable to all the dim sum restaurants I've been to. The only disappointing dish was the bbq pork (char siu). They didn't look like the picture on the menu as the pork was sliced more thinly and was bathing in a thick soy sauce (probably to compensate for the dryness of the pork resulting from sitting in the warmer all day). It didn't taste bad, just not as good if it was eaten earlier in the day. Service was decent. The restaurant got even busier after we got our food, which was surprising for a late Sunday night. But the attentiveness never wavered. Overall, Rol San succeeds in delivering decent dim sum at convenient late nights with good service. I would recommend Rol San if you're craving for authentic dim sum for second dinner!

Late night dimsum just hits different. This place is great, you can expect a bit of a wait especially on the weekend, but you come here and sit with however many friends you can squeeze or by yourself and its just casual, but very clean. The servers are quite nice and you don't have the anxiety of possibly dishonor any Cantonese ancestors under the pressure of ordering. Sadly my appetite wasn't up to par, but I still had a find experience of this place. The wonton noodle soup was a great portion, with lots of noodles and had a distinct medium shrimp flavor. I think my favorite was the tofu actually, and if I was feeling better I would've definitely eaten more. It is on the pricier side for dimsum, but their portions are big. Only thing is that the options seem more limited than your typical dimsum, but the ambiance makes up for it.

So glad we found this gem not long after they opened because when we arrived, only 2 tables were available and as we were seated we started to see the line forming and get longer. Also the place like most places in the area is quite small. Not sure what the average time wait is here but did not take long for the 1st half of our order to come out. Between 4 of us we ordered 1 large Wonton Soup was plenty for 2nds for some. The broth was delicious! We started with 2 orders of the Pork dumplings also had Shrimp but was not over powering. The chili oil they have on the table was so delish and for some was spicy. Also ordered 2 orders of the Fried Dumplings and they were bigger than I am used to. If you are ever lucky enough to be nearby I highly recommend dining here.

First trip to Canada post Covid and my fam was excited to have good dim sum. It's been over a month and I wish I wrote this at the time of the visit along with my must-see pics (hahah) but I didn't and here we are trying to dig into my memory bank ... We ordered the standard dim sum items (ha gow, siu mai, etc.). My oldest kiddo only wanted the crueller wrapped in noodle skin. In fact, the only reason we chose this place out of all the others was because of that dish - it's like the pfp for this restaurant or something when yelp searching. Anyhoo, they did NOT have any that Saturday we visited so it was a major disappointment for my kiddo who sat there and watch everyone else eat (yes, I know that's what she gets for being a picky eater). We waited outside for 10 min before it opened (yes, excited dim sumers), they opened on timed, the inside was nicely decorated and it was packed in less than an hour. The food was good. Not great but it was very hot (plus!) and maybe too hot that made it taste kinda dry. I suspected most of the dishes were nuked in the microwave vs steamed but again, just my hunch. Hopefully it'll be a more memorable experience if we come back again.
